Lyrinox Certification Program for Sellers

How software sellers can earn stronger buyer trust through independent product review and quality signals.

Lyrinox Certification Program

Build Better Software. Earn Customer Trust.

Software earns trust through quality—not marketing.

The Lyrinox Certification Program was created to recognize developers who invest in engineering excellence, documentation, support, long-term maintenance, and customer experience.

Unlike traditional marketplace verification programs, the Lyrinox Seal of Quality cannot be purchased.

It must be earned.

Every certified product has been independently reviewed by Lyrinox Technologies according to our published certification standard.

Our goal is simple:

  • Help developers build better software.
  • Give buyers confidence in their purchases.
  • Reward quality rather than popularity.
  • Raise the overall standard of software available on Lyrinox Market.

Why We Built This Program

Most software marketplaces measure popularity.

We believe they should also recognize quality.

Excellent software deserves more than download counts and advertising budgets.

It deserves independent recognition.

The Lyrinox Certification Program exists to provide that recognition through transparent engineering review rather than automated analysis or paid verification.

What Makes This Different?

The Lyrinox Seal of Quality is not:

  • an automated scanner
  • an AI-generated review
  • a paid verification badge
  • a popularity contest
  • a sponsorship

Every certified product is independently evaluated by real people.

We purchase your software.

We install it.

We configure it.

We use it.

We follow your documentation.

We verify your licensing.

We contact your support.

We experience your product exactly as your customers do.

If your software earns certification, buyers know someone has genuinely used it.

The Certification Process

Stage 1 — Submit Your Product

Submit a publicly released version of your software.

Certification always applies to a specific major version.

Private builds, unpublished releases, and developer-only review builds are not eligible.

Stage 2 — Independent Evaluation

Lyrinox purchases your product through Lyrinox Market.

Our reviewers intentionally avoid privileged access.

We evaluate the same software your customers receive.

Stage 3 — Technical Review

Every evaluation includes:

  • Installation
  • Configuration
  • Documentation
  • Core functionality
  • Product stability
  • Licensing
  • Marketplace integration
  • Basic security observations
  • Customer support

We evaluate the complete ownership experience—not simply whether the application launches.

Stage 4 — Private Certification Report

Following evaluation, you receive a detailed engineering report.

The report contains:

  • Successful findings
  • Areas for improvement
  • Screenshots
  • Reproduction steps
  • Evidence supporting every finding
  • Technical recommendations

This report is private.

Nothing is published during this stage.

Stage 5 — Improvement

Certification exists to improve software—not reject it.

You are encouraged to address our findings before requesting another review.

Our objective is to help you succeed.

Stage 6 — Certification

Once your software satisfies the certification standard, it receives the Lyrinox Seal of Quality.

A public Certification Report is published alongside your product listing.

Certification Is Independent

The integrity of the Lyrinox Seal of Quality is our most valuable asset.

For that reason:

  • Certification cannot be purchased.
  • Certification cannot be negotiated.
  • Payment never guarantees certification.
  • Every product is reviewed using the same published standard.
  • Every finding must be supported by evidence.

If your software does not currently satisfy our certification standard, we will explain why and provide guidance for improvement.

Continuous Certification

Best for actively developed software.

US$10 USD per product per month

Continuous Certification is designed for software receiving regular updates.

As long as your product remains enrolled:

  • Every materially changed release within the enrolled major version is automatically reviewed.
  • Certification Reports remain current.
  • Buyers always see the latest certified release.
  • Marketplace promotion eligibility continues.
  • Periodic support verification continues.
  • Certification history is preserved.

No additional certification fees are charged for updates released within the certified major version.

Example:

Version 1.x is enrolled.

You release:

  • 1.0.1
  • 1.1.0
  • 1.2.5
  • 1.4.0
  • 1.8.3

Every materially changed release is independently reviewed as part of your subscription.

Version 2.0 begins a new certification cycle.

Fixed-Term Major Version Certification

Best for stable software and long-term support releases.

Not every project receives weekly updates.

Many mature products spend years in maintenance mode, receiving only bug fixes and compatibility updates.

For these projects we offer Fixed-Term Major Version Certification.

Instead of paying monthly, you purchase certification for an entire major release line.

During the selected certification period:

  • Every materially changed release within the certified major version is automatically reviewed.
  • Certification Reports remain current.
  • Buyers continue seeing certified releases.
  • No additional certification fees are charged for maintenance releases.

Example:

You certify Version 1.x for three years.

During those three years you release:

  • 1.0.2
  • 1.1.4
  • 1.3.8
  • 1.7.2

Every materially changed release is covered.

Version 2.0 begins a new certification cycle.

Suggested Pricing

Certification TermPrice (USD)
1 Year$149
2 Years$249
3 Years$329
4 Years$399
5 Years$449

This pricing allows developers to choose predictable one-time costs while continuing to support stable software.

Certification History

Projects evolve.

Sometimes developers release a new major version but choose not to immediately certify it.

Rather than removing all evidence of your previous certification history, Lyrinox preserves that history.

Products with previously certified major versions may display a Certification History Available indicator.

This tells buyers:

  • Earlier major versions successfully earned certification.
  • Your project has a demonstrated history of meeting our certification standards.
  • The current major version has not yet been independently evaluated.

This preserves buyer confidence without making claims about software we have not yet reviewed.

Legacy Certification

Many software projects eventually become complete.

They no longer receive updates but continue providing value to customers.

Developers participating in the Lyrinox Continuity Program may transition completed major versions into Legacy Certification.

Legacy Certification is provided at no cost.

Legacy Certification indicates:

  • The release line successfully completed certification.
  • The certified release has not materially changed.
  • The release remains available through the Continuity Program.
  • Its Certification Report remains permanently available.

Legacy Certification ensures mature software does not lose its reputation simply because active development has concluded.

Lyrinox Continuity Program

The Continuity Program is optional.

Participation requires a separate legal agreement for each enrolled product.

If a participating developer permanently abandons a project, the Continuity Program allows Lyrinox to continue distributing previously released compiled versions according to the signed agreement.

This exists to protect customer access while respecting developer ownership.

Participation also enables Legacy Certification once a project reaches end-of-life.

Marketplace Benefits

Certified products become eligible for additional marketplace visibility.

Benefits may include:

  • Lyrinox Seal of Quality
  • Public Certification Reports
  • Homepage rotation
  • Featured placement
  • Future promotional opportunities
  • Increased buyer confidence

Promotion is never purchased.

It is earned through certification.

What You're Paying For

You are not paying for a badge.

You're paying for a professional engineering service.

Your certification includes:

  • Independent product evaluation
  • Engineering review
  • Detailed Certification Reports
  • Actionable technical feedback
  • Multiple improvement opportunities
  • Public buyer-facing Certification Reports
  • Certification hosting
  • Marketplace trust
  • Certification maintenance
  • Long-term certification history
  • Marketplace promotion eligibility

The badge is simply the public recognition that your software successfully completed that process.

Is Certification Required?

No.

Certification is entirely optional.

Many excellent products may choose not to participate.

Others may simply publish software without seeking independent review.

The Certification Program exists for developers who wish to demonstrate quality through an independent, evidence-based process.

Our Commitment

The trust of our buyers is the foundation of the Lyrinox Certification Program.

We will never compromise that trust by selling certification.

Every certified product has earned its place through the same published standard, the same independent review process, and the same commitment to engineering quality.

If your software earns the Lyrinox Seal of Quality, it will not be because you paid for it.

It will be because you built software worthy of your customers' trust.

We believe quality should be recognized.

We believe great developers deserve independent validation.

And we believe that when buyers can trust what they purchase, everyone benefits.
