Product Review Readiness Checklist
Some products need a closer look before they go live.
That can happen because of price, automated scan results, product category, missing information, or other buyer-protection signals.
Manual review is not meant to punish sellers. It is there so buyers can trust the marketplace.
Before submitting
Check that your listing includes:
- Clear product name.
- Accurate category.
- Current version number.
- Compatibility notes.
- Real screenshots.
- Installation instructions.
- License terms.
- Support policy.
- Changelog or release notes if the product has history.
Upload readiness
Make sure the uploaded package:
- Contains the files buyers need.
- Does not include secrets, private keys, local config, or development artifacts.
- Does not include unrelated binaries.
- Uses a clear folder structure.
- Matches the version shown on the listing.
Pricing clarity
Higher-priced products may be reviewed more carefully because buyer risk is higher.
That is reasonable.
If the price is high, the listing should show why:
- Strong documentation.
- Professional support.
- Business value.
- Multiple license tiers.
- Clear maintenance expectations.
- Screenshots or demos that show the product is real.
Licensing clarity
Reviewers and buyers should be able to tell:
- Whether licensing is enabled.
- Whether the product is subscription-based or one-time.
- What activations are included.
- Whether the license is tied to device, user, domain, or IP.
- What happens when a subscription ends.
- What terms apply to each tier.
If review catches an issue
Fix it directly.
The goal is not to create paperwork. The goal is to publish software that buyers can evaluate with confidence.
