Tier Billing Mode
Tier billing mode lets each license tier have its own billing model.
For example, you might offer a one-time personal license and a recurring commercial license with ongoing support. That can be useful, but only if the difference is easy to understand.
Where it appears
The tier billing mode is used by checkout and product listing metadata. It helps buyers compare tiers and helps external discovery systems understand whether a tier is a purchase or subscription.
Better entries
Do:
- Keep tiers easy to compare.
- Use subscriptions only when there is ongoing value or required service access.
- Explain what ends when a subscription ends.
Avoid mixing too many pricing models on one product. If buyers need a spreadsheet to choose, the listing is doing too much.
